About M.C. Ragland

M.C. Ragland grew up in the D.C. suburbs of Virginia and quickly developed a love of all things fiction and fantasy. That love drove him to Chicago to study screenwriting and cinematography and produce numerous short films at Columbia College. But being a filmmaker just wasn’t for him. Neither was being a film critic, a blogger, or a YouTuber, as it would turn out — though his video essays on fantasy and science-fiction have gained over a million views online. M.C.’s true passion is storytelling. He pursued that passion by earning a Bachelor’s of Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. Now, his focus is on building a collection of fantasy, horror, and science-fiction short stories, while developing his debut novel, a YA fantasy adventure about magic masks. When he’s not writing or producing new stories, M.C. volunteers in animal rescue and regularly TNVRs feral cats (Trap, Neuter/Spay, Vaccinate, and Release).
